About

2CELLOS, the dynamic Croatian duo consisting of Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser, has redefined the cello as a contemporary instrument capable of delivering electrifying performances that blend classical music with rock, pop, and film scores. Formed in 2011, 2CELLOS quickly rose to international fame through their genre-defying arrangements and high-energy live shows.

The duo first gained attention with their viral YouTube cover of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal,” which showcased their unique ability to translate pop and rock hits into powerful cello arrangements. This breakthrough led to a recording contract with Sony Masterworks and their self-titled debut album, featuring covers of artists like U2, Coldplay, and Nirvana.

2CELLOS continued to push boundaries with subsequent albums, including In2ition (2013), Celloverse (2015), and Let There Be Cello (2018). Their repertoire spans iconic tracks like “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC, “The Show Must Go On” by Queen, and themes from Game of Thrones and Pirates of the Caribbean. Their ability to fuse classical technique with modern sensibilities has earned them a diverse and devoted global fanbase.

Renowned for their electrifying live performances, 2CELLOS has toured extensively, performing in prestigious venues and collaborating with renowned artists like Elton John. Their dynamic stage presence and chemistry bring an unparalleled intensity to every performance, captivating audiences of all musical tastes.

In 2022, the duo announced their farewell tour, marking the end of their collaboration as 2CELLOS. While they pursue individual projects, their impact on the music world remains profound, having inspired a new generation to see the cello in an entirely new light.
