Kevin Cronin is an American celebrity who became popular in the late 80’s with the American Rock band “REO Speedwagon.” He is the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and also a pianist for the band. Born on October 6, 1951, in Illinois, United States became a big icon in the 80’s.
The band’s songs were popular and ended up in the top 50 songs. The band’s genre is rock, and in the recent years, they have turned semi-rock.
Cronin is the only official member left in the band till today and is performing in numerous family concerts and charity events around the country. He has also featured in many band competitions as guest and judge.
REO came with the first album in the year 1971, his lead guitarist Terr Luttrell left soon after the album was released which created uncertainties in the future of the band. He then arranged other band members and started to create new songs. His third album “Ridin the Storm Out” helped them to remain in the market and then their popularity rose after the 80’s.
In 2007 his album “Hi Infidelity” was a huge success and sold more than 10 million copies inside the country.
Cronin is not thinking about retiring just yet. He resides with his family currently in Texas. He is currently a judge on local band competition, which encourages youngsters to show and develop their skills.
