The lead-off single from his self-titled debut album, “Austin” spent five weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
Shelton possesses a warm, masculine ease that lends his rowdier numbers a sense of relaxation and also makes him an effective crooner of ballads. This helped him cross over from country to the mainstream in the 2010s. Other hit singles from Shelton are: “Some Beach,” “Home,” “Doin’ What She Likes,” “She Wouldn’t Be Gone,” “Hillbilly Bone,” “All About Tonight,” and “Honey Bee”. “Honey Bee” went triple platinum in 2011.
